The big event of the month was our parish picnic which I am happy to say I have co-chaired for the last year. It's a lot of work, but it's work with a lot of great people. Unfortunately, I only took one pic/video since I was so busy.
Now that the picnic is over, it's nice to have some extra time just to hang out and do some fun things. We've been to the zoo a lot lately. Our latest trip was with Matthew's buddies, Tia and Michael.
I think that the kids have more fun on the playground than visiting the animals.
Other than that, there's not much new to report. Matthew continues with swimming and skating classes and will start hockey classes this fall. He has been in figure skating classes and has been doing very well. Unfortunately (or fortunately) he's progressed to the point that he's in a class with much older kids. So there's not much play time involved, so we will be making the move to hockey because it looks like the boys have so much fun playing around. He's still getting used to all the pads and everything and ironically can't walk well with his gear on, but actually skates pretty well looking like the Stay Puff Marshmallow Man. Grammie and Gramps were happy to provide him with his first hockey jersey.
Well, I'll close with a cute, but short (it got cut off a little too soon) of Matthew's "thinking" look.
