Puyallup Fair Take 2

We made our second annual trip to the Puyallup Fair today. It's quite an event. Matthew was thrilled that many of his favorite things were there- mostly trucks and other kids. He did seem to like seeing all of the different animals as well. Although all of them were referred to as "ki-ki".

We got him out of his stoller in the horse barn and he ran right up to the fence, grabbed the railing and squated down to sit and watch the horses eat. It was pretty darn cute.

He was a little afraid of the geese because they made all kinds of racket when anyone walked by.

He also had his first taste of chocolate milk at the dairy farm. It took a little getting used to and I'm still not sure if he likes it or not.

It was a great day and lots of fun. We look forward to taking him again next year when he can ride all of the kiddie rides. I'm sure he'll have a blast.

Kids have this amazing ability to make us young at heart again - to see the world all new and fresh through their eyes. Their sense of wonder and awe stirs those old sensations within us older folk and all of life takes on a different color. He is growing up fast - make sure your record his first words, his first sentence, his first question, etc. When our son was 2 and 1/2, he looked at us directly and said "Why move Arbor?" and we were stunned. He wanted to know why we left Boston for Ann Arbor. We later realized that he was missing his friends and the familiar places back East. It will happen to you too!
